Got a question? Here are so of our frequently asked questions. If you have a questions that isn’t here, please get in touch with us in the office.

How do I pay for Star-Tastic Gymnastics classes?

For our Open Classes, we request payment is made via the GoCardless payment system from our administration system. More information of setting up this payment method will be given upon enrolment. Details on our fees can be found here: FEES

For our school-based classes these can be paid via card on the booking system we use.

What are your term dates?

The Star-Tastic Gymnastics classes that run exclusively for schools coincide with that schools school term timetable.

Open Classes run all year closing only between Christmas and New Year and Easter weekend. Our closure dates can be found on our Club Events.

Where are you located?

Our main open classes are held at Rosebery School in Epsom. Click here to see where we are on Google Maps or Tadworth Leisure Centre in Tadworth. Click here to see where we are on Google Maps

We also have open classes on Thursdays in Horley. Click here to see where we are on Google Maps.

Are your classes insured?

Our classes have full public liability insurance and all our coaches are personally insured as well.

Are there any membership fees?

When you sign up you need to pay the Star-Tastic Club Membership Fee which will be due on the 1st of July of every year. This costs £35.00.

Upon registering you will receive either a t-shirt. You will need to email us at info@startasticgymnastics.com to tell us which size. You can look on our website shop to see a variety of options we offer.

Are your coaches qualified?

Our Head Coaches and Coaches are qualified with IGA and/or British Gymnastics. We encourage our youth gymnasts to try out some volunteer coaching and if they wish to coach when they are older we can mentor them through their training with IGA or British Gymnastics. If you would like to know more about coaching with Star-Tastic Gymnastics, please contact Head Coach Stacey.

When do I need to pay my membership fees?

You will be asked to pay your membership fee and set up your Direct Debit after your trial.

Your fees for classes will still be due on the LAST DAY of each month.

Our Fees have also been streamlined by class and the number of classes that each gymnast attends. The system will work out your fees per month for you based on which classes you choose to sign up for, hopefully making it easier, again. The more hours your gymnast does the cheaper each class becomes. It will work on a sliding scale from 9% off for 1.5 hours all the way up to 42.5% off.

Siblings will now receive 10% off for all classes.

Can parents watch?

One parent can remain in our Mini Stars class.

Parents cannot watch every lesson. We have found that gymnasts focus better without parents in the room. We invite parents to watch 4 times a year in December, March, June and September or the end of the term in our schools classes to see how much their gymnast has learnt.

What should my child wear for class?

Before and After School classes do not have to wear club clothing. We suggest sensible exercise clothing such as T-Shirt with leggings or short. Clothing must not be baggy and no jewellery.

We have T-shirts, vest tops, shorts and leotards that can be purchased if your child would like our club clothing – CLUB SHOP.

However, for our classes at Rosebery, Tadworth and Horley we would ask that gymnasts wear club leotards and shorts.

Do you offer discounts?

We do indeed!! For the breakdown of our fees and discounts, check our latest Timetable here: FEES and TIMETABLE.

We also offer a 10% Sibling Discount.

What are your Class Arrival / Departure procedures?

Parents must ensure that their child / children are taken to the door on arrival and collection for the lesson. If any child is travelling alone Star-Tastic must have written confirmation for that child to be allowed to leave. Once children are in Year 7 we do let them leave alone unless told otherwise. The Warm up is very important, try to be on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late you won’t be allowed to join in the session. This is for your child’s safety. Inform the coach at the start of a session if gymnasts are feeling ill or injured or if any medical conditions have changed.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds will not be given for classes missed and classes will not be carried over or exchanged for any other class time or day for any reason (unless agreed as the catch-up hours).

We offer trial classes so that your child can check that they enjoy the classes. Once you have signed up for the term you are committed to that place and refunds will not be offered for any reason.

If your child has a break or serious injury at our gymnastics class then we may offer credit for next term as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or credit if your child is injured elsewhere or changes their mind or other personal commitments change.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

Of course!! Your child can start at any time throughout the term as long as there is space in the class. Every child is taught at their own pace and coaches will accommodate new starters.

When do you do clothing orders?

We can take orders throughout the month but the orders are sent to our suppliers on the 1st of every month and will take between 4-6 weeks to arrive. They will be given out in class when received.

What happens if it is really bad weather?

Classes that have to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, School Closure or School’s Cancellation, Fire evacuation, or any other extreme unforeseeable circumstances will not be refunded although every effort will be made to re-arrange where possible. Credit may be carried over to next term at the discretion of the Head Coach.

Can we catch up hours?

We offer our members a maximum of 6 catch-up classes a year.

If you miss a session due to a holiday or other commitment you can catch up in ANY session or Holiday Camp we run that is suitable for your gymnast.

Catch-up sessions may only be used in the school holidays and must be booked in advance by emailing us.

Classes missed from this date can be caught up by emailing info@startasticgymnastics.com to book (subject to availability).

What is your ratio of children to coaches?

We aim to have a 1:6 ratio (or less) in as many of our classes as possible. We try to keep are ratios of coaches to children is 1:8 as a maximum.

Every child will have 1-1 time in every lesson when badges are completed.

What's your snow procedure?

The safety of children, parents and staff is our paramount concern and any decision to close the club is taken after considering all factors. The decision may be made by the club or by your school. If a school is closed the club will not run. We will endeavour to re-arrange the session missed with the school.
